Dr. Hesheng Liu, co-founder and Chief Scientist for Neural Galaxy. He is currently an Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, Associate Professor of Neuroscience at Massachusetts General Hospital, Endowed Chair Professor of Neuroscience and Associate Director of the Center for Biomedical Imaging at Medical University of South Carolina.
Hesheng’s research focuses on individual differences in brain function. The research topics include: Individual Differences, Brain Lateralization, Surgical Planning, Epilepsy, Stroke Recovery, Schizophrenia, OCD, Parkinson’s Disease, and Alzheimer’s Disease.
Hesheng has 70+ publications on Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, PNAS etc., with over 8000 citations. Some of his work has been viewed as “the turning point for neuroimaging”. He has trained 30+ PhD and Post Doc graduates and is an inventor of multiple brain science related patents. He received his Ph.D. degree and B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
